There’s nothing better than a creamy bowl of porridge to start the day with which will give you a warm and fuzzy feeling each morning.
I think the best bit of porridge is the choice of toppings you can put on top for extra flavour! I like it with cinnamon and maple syrup but my absolute favourite is peanut butter porridge. A great big dollop of peanut butter, combined with some dark chocolate broken up into pieces is perfect because they both melt with the heat of the porridge. For texture I like to add some crushed pecans and also some seeds for a bit of crunch but you could add anything you’ve got in your cupboards. Some chopped fruit like banana or blueberries would work well and so would dried fruit or raisins.

Peanut Butter Porridge – The Recipe
Serves 1
INGREDIENTS
1 Quaker Oats oat so simple, original sachet
170ml full fat milk
1 tbsp peanut butter
5g dark chocolate, broken up into peices
8g pecans, broken up into peices
1 tbsp 4 seed mix
METHOD
- Pour the oats into a bowl and add the milk
- Microwave for 3 minutes on a high heat, stirring halfay
- Add the peanut butter, dark chocolate, pecans and seeds to the top and enjoy!
