The V&A museum in London often put on amazing exhibitions and I was really excited to hear about the Christian Dior: Designer of Dream exhibition and knew I had to visit to see all the beautiful clothes.
The first hurdle to overcome was getting hold of tickets; the exhibition has been so popular (rightly so) that it’s completely sold out, even after it was extended! Fortunately, there are a small number of tickets that are available every morning first thing but you need to be quick. My mum queued for an hour before the museum opened at 10am and we were lucky enough to get tickets for the 11am slot. After we got our tickets we killed some time by wandering around the museum and grabbing a coffee from one of the cafes before we entered.
The exhibition is the biggest ever display of Dior’s work to be shown in the UK and walking in, we were like kids in a sweet shop. There’s stunning dresses everywhere and since a picture is worth a thousand words …
We followed our visit to the exhibition with the Dior themed afternoon tea at the Berkeley hotel so it was a Dior themed day!
The Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams Exhibition runs until 1 September 2019, you can find more information on their website.
