I love a good cup of hot chocolate and having tried a fair few across London, I think I’ve found the best hot chocolate in London at Hotel Chocolat.

Despite there being quite a few Hotel Chocolat stores across the country, there are only a few that have a cafe that serve these delicious hot chocolates. There is a huge selection of hot chocolates available from milk chocolate, 70% chocolate, 85% chocolate, 100% chocolate and salted caramel too amongst tonnes of other flavours.
So far I’ve tried the 70%, 85% and the salted caramel hot chocolates. The best bit is the whipped chocolate cream that gets piped on top, like a dessert. It’s so rich and chocolatey – I’ve made the mistake of ordering the large before which I almost couldn’t finish!

There are two Hotel Chocolat cafes in Covent Garden, one is right in the middle of the market in a tiny shop but if you go downstairs you’ll find a small cafe at the back. My favourite cafe is outside of the market, on Monmouth Street which is a bit more airy but fair warning: it’s quite tiny and there are only a few seats.
They even do vegan hot chocolates too using 100% cacao and coconut or oat milk and have a normal tea and coffee menu if hot choclate isn’t your thing.
