So I know I’m a little bit late to the party with my 2017 favourites but I wanted to share with you some of my favourite beauty products that I’ve been loving in 2017.
Urban Decay Naked Heat:
This is definitely a highlight of my year – the EXCITEMENT of getting this palette is unreal. I’m a big fan of the Urban Decay naked palettes and this was hit the beauty world by storm. The release of this was so hyped up and then there was a flash sale pre-release date and I was lucky enough to be able to secure one.
I love all of the shades in this palette, and find myself reaching for this favourite, regularly. I wrote a blog post (with swatches) reviewing the Urban Decay palette which you can read about >> here <<.
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief:
I’ve known about this product for years because its a firm favourite of my mums and after trying it during a visit home, I quickly fell in love with the lightweight, gel formula and how my skin was drinking it up.
I wear this daily underneath my makeup and find that it really gives my skin a lovely refreshed glow.
Clinique Moisture Surge Face Mist:
On the same Clinique theme, after loving the extended thirst relief, I’d read reviews about the face mist in the same range and decided to purchase it for easy moisture on the go or for a quick spritz at home. I love how easy it is and I particularly love the nozzle because it gives a super fine mist which I prefer to some other mists thatI’ve tried.
I’m going to try and pick up the moisture surge face mask next because I’ve heard great things about this product too.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid:
This product is probably my favourite out of all of my favourites because it really has changed my face – hyaluronic acid is a great hydrator because it can attract up to 1,000 times its weight in water. It’s found naturally in our skin but as we get older, this gets reduced over time. I use this every morning as part of my daily skincare routine underneath my moisturiser. I suffer from quite dry and dehydrated skin so this has been a game changer for me. Oh, and it’s also an absolute BARGAIN.
I wrote a whole blog post about some of the different The Ordinary products that I’ve tried and you can read all about them >> here <<.
Pixi Glow Tonic:
I’m a big fan of using acids as part of my routine and picked up the Pixi Glow Tonic earlier in the year to give it a try. I’ve repurchased this throughout the year (thats when you know it’s firm favourite) and have loved it. It exfoliates my skin really gently, leaving my skin super soft and smooth and I particularly love the love scent of this product. The Pixi Glow Tonic contains glycolic acid which is the active ingredient that makes it exfoliating. I use this every morning as part of my daily skincare routine, before I start with my serums and moisturisers.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil:
I wrote a blog post in the summer all about some of the summer skincare I’d been using and this is one of the products which you can read about >> here <<. I love to give my skin a little pamper at the end of the day and this absorbs into my skin really well overnight and I wake up with my skin feeling replenished and rejuvenated. I also think it’s great value for the price at just £16.
Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask:
Finally, my last favourite is a face mask. I’m a big fan of face masks and love to give my skin a treat, once a week where I relax with a bubble bath. I’ve tried a few different face masks throughout the year but this is my favourite because I’ve been reaching for it so much. It’s a thermal mask which means that it heats up when you apply it to your skin which opens up your pores and allows the charcoal and clay to really clean out your skin of any impurities and daily grime. I love the way it feels on my skin when I apply it and it leaves my skin feeling super soft.
What products did you love in 2017? Are there any that I need to try?
