The New Year is a great time to reassess your life, cut out anything that doesn’t make you feel happy and to focus on what does make you happy. At the end of the year, it’s always nice to reflect back on the past year and to consider goals and targets for the new year. I didn’t write a blog post about my 2017 New Years resolutions but I had three:
- To film one second of footage everyday using the “One Second Everyday” app with the aim of compiling it into a video showcasing my year.
- To write a sentence a day in my “One Line A Day” book which I plan to continue for the next five years
- Finally, my third resolution was to prepare and take lunch to work with me as I’m often guilty of buying lunch when I am at work.
Now I know that resolutions are created with good intentions and often abandoned at the beginning of the year but I’ve tried to bear these in mind throughout the year and make an effort to continue with them.
This year, my resolutions will be exactly the same as while I enjoyed doing them, I didn’t complete them to the best of my ability (read: I had a period from August to November where everything went out the window) so I’m excited to tackle these again! Hopefully, these resolutions are sustainable, particularly as I intend to continue writing one line a day for four more years and I also hope to save money on work lunches by preparing them at home.
Im going into the new year armed with my resolutions but I’m also super excited to be starting a new job at the end of January and for the new challenges that this will bring!
What are your resolutions for 2018?
