A treasure hunt can be great fun for a birthday surprise – hide presents around the house, each with a clue that leads to the next present.
A treasure hunt can be as easy or as tricky as you make it, depending on how many clues you use and how hard they are. Here, I had nine clues and began by putting the first clue in the hallway so it would be the first thing the hunter sees when they arrive. Each clue directs the hunter to a hiding place where a present is waiting, along with a clue for the next present. The presents got bigger as the treasure hunt went on and ended with the biggest present, which I’d hidden in the bathtub.
It was super easy to set up, I bought these mini cards and envelopes to write the clues on and I think kids would love this treasure hunt too and it would work brilliantly for an Easter Egg hunt!
