A few weeks ago I went to Brighton for a few days; courtesy of winning a competition by My Hotels Group . You can read more about this competition and how you can win a two night stay here.
I posted the below photo on my Instagram page in March 2016. A few weeks later, the My Hotels Group got in contact with me and told me that I’d won their competition; a two night stay in one of their three boutique hotels. It was difficult to choose which hotel to stay in as they all look incredible; I was keen on the MyChelsea, but since I have now moved to London, I booked to stay at the MyBrighton.

The journey from London is easy and inexpensive- just a short train and you are by the seaside. The hotel is in the centre of Brighton,a few minutes walk from the train station and sea front. It’s also surrounded by lots of shops, cute cages and Brighton’s famous lanes.
There was a surprise waiting when I arrived;my parents ordered a chilled bottle of Prosecco for my room which kicked off the getaway nicely. The room was large and spacious with speakers in the ceilings, lights that changed colours and a big bed right in the middle.
Brighton Itinerary:
The first thing I did was head straight to the seafront; I couldn’t wait to walk down to the promenade to take some shots by the gorgeous Brighton Beach Huts. Then I headed down back to the hotel for a refresh and some fizz, before heading to dinner.
The next day was spent ambling around the Lanes and visiting some shops. I was very impressed with Brighton’s shops- it had all the great chain stores you could want, as well as some lovely small independent stores for knick knacks. I’d heard about the Flour Pot Bakery from lots of people so decided to head there for lunch. The hot chocolate was delicious and the sandwich selection was enormous. I opted for a chicken and chorizo panini (mmm) and the chocolate tart. I’d definitely recommend coming here if you are in Brighton- the bread selection alone just looked incredible! Then I headed over to the pier as a trip to Brighton isn’t complete without a visit to the pier and a play on the slot machines.
I spent my final day down at the beachfront eating yummy fish and chips at the Regency Restaurant on the seafront before packing up and heading back to the train station to catch a train back to the big smoke.
Thank you to the My Hotels Group for a wonderful stay at the My Brighton, I can’t wait to return soon.
I also created a very short video of my trip which you can see here.
